A page dedicated to memories and inspirations drawn from songs by The Smiths.

How many times has a Smiths song expressed the way you feel so precisely that it's almost painful?

Do you remember hearing your first Smiths song, and the effect it had on you?

Has a song by The Smiths ever inspired you to write
creatively - perhaps a story or a poem?

The Smiths were a band who affected their fans           profoundly, so much so that their magic still inspires    people today.
My own experience was stumbling upon a copy of The World Won't Listen in a record shop, when 14 years old, in 1996. The title of the album caught my attention, then the title of track 6 - There Is A Light That Never Goes Out - sounded so beautiful, that I decided to buy it,     without any previous knowledge of who The Smiths were. This is a perfect example of the way in which The Smiths worked - they wrote songs to break your heart, while they comforted and protected you from a world that wouldn't   listen.

This website is dedicated to the capacity that The Smiths had to inspire and provoke thought. It records              submissions by fans related to particular songs.

If you wish to contribute to this site, please email me, and your memories/stories/poems etc. will be included under their appropriate song. It's as easy as that.
